Revitalization Corporation Brother-2-Brother/Sister-2-Sister Youth Leadership Development Program. Tasks included
development of the theme and focus of a week-long leadership summit for 12-17 year-old African-American youth. The theme was entitled, “Up, Up and Away: Lifting As We Climb.” The goals of the leadership training were to understand the two basic kinds of groups and their functions, to learn techniques to demonstrate and to improve leadership abilities, and to
systematically approach particular problems and solutions. Summer 2000
Facilitator to the New Beginnings Christian Community Revitalization Corporation Brother-2-Brother/Sister-2-Sister Youth Leadership Development Program, “An African American Film Festival, Celebrating Director/Actor Spike Lee.” Tasks primarily involved viewing a selected Lee film; the creation of a pre-post evaluation; and the promotion of critical thinking, discussions, and positive affirmations with youth 12-16 years of age.
